As it would turn out ice and snow do not make for a good combination when it comes to hunting. Not to stay that if you were at the right place at the right time this lovely weather wouldn't work to your advantage, just did not in my case. I normally love hunting in the snow and evening have a few locations picked out just for when there is snow on the ground, but I didn't plan on the ice. So I decided to do a little still hunting this evening since we had the ice and the snow that was on the ground was very crunchy. I ended up seeing one doe right at dark, but I heard her coming from a while away, she was very spooky just before I could get a shot she heard something and took off. Hopefully this week with warmer sunny weather will bring me some better luck than what I have had the past two days!
Did anyone make it out today in the snow? What did you see? Were you able to harvest anything?
Good luck in the last 8 days of the 2011 - 2012 hunting season!
