I learned years ago from my father how to build a cheap, easy bow rack. Now I am not saying it cheap looking, and it does a very good job holding 3-4 bows. Plus after you have made it, and depending on the type of wood you use, the appearance has unlimited possibilities. I made a very simple one last fall when I got my wife a bow and my friend’s bow was spending time at my house between hunting trips. Shown below.
I made this bow rack in haste as I just needed to get the bows of the guest bed before company came. You will see in the picture in the picture above that it’s not perfect. However, it is pretty close and one day I will stain it and make it look pretty as my wife calls it.
The rack only requires a few items to be purchased unless you are handy and happen to have the stuff to make it lying around like I did. Also, only a few tools are required and it is a quick 30 minute project for anyone. This could also be a great gift for kids (with some help) to build and give as a gift to the bow hunter in the family. After you build it, you can even paint/stain or decorate it if you are creative.
A how-to post about these bow racks will be coming soon.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about this bow rack, feel free to leave a comment or send an email and I will be happy to answer them!
