This past Christmas Amber got me these ThermaCell heated insoles. She did this because my biggest complaint when hunting late season is my feet get cold. I have done foot warmers and battery powered socks, and both work to some extent and both a have place for using them. but.. I still don't like cold feet!
After reading all the instructions and charging them, shortly after the holiday I put them into service as it was some of the coldest weather we had all season.

My Opinion:
I put them to use the first time for an evening hunt, when I headed into the woods that day the high was 21 degrees, it was going down to 10 that evening so much of the hunt was in the teens. I turned them on with the handy remote shortly after getting settled in my stand. I spent the whole evening in comfort with them on the medium setting. I used them on several other hunts and only on the evening that it was below zero did I feel like my feet started to get cold. I turned them on high and they kept my feet from getting cold the rest of the evening. Based off the 5 - 6 times I got to use them this season I cannot say enough about how happy I was with them. They worked great and got me through some cold hunts. I am looking forward to using them again this coming season come November and December.
The only twp con's I found with them is, without purchasing additional batteries you cannot do full day hunts, as they take 3-4 hours to recharge. Which isn't awful since it's a USB charger and you can charge it at home or in the truck, but I will be purchasing another set of batteries before next season. The second was during one of my hunts the remote battery died, well needless to say, when it dies you got no heat and cold feet! So, keep another battery handy, or spend a little more on the Pro-Flex version that allows you to use the phone APP to control them, but then you have to hope your phone doesn't die :-).
All and all, after spending tons on batteries for battery powered socks and spending even more on foot warmers that just never seem to last long enough, I have to say this purchase so far is well worth the cost.
I would highly recommend these to anyone who is like me and hates cold feet! They do have a high up front cost, but over the long run I think they will be well worth it.
